WELCOME TO THE DARKHORSE HALL

The Darkhorse Hall & Wine Snug is a Banquet Room in Great Falls and it's a great space for Wedding Receptions, Office Holiday Parties, Family Reunions, Formal Meeting Rooms, Award Ceremonies and of course, banquets: an affordable, upscale event room rental right in the heart of Downtown Great Falls.

Beneath the streets of downtown Great Falls lies a charming, two room hall, perfect for weddings, corporate meetings or elegant dinners. Both rooms feature a stone fireplace, historic wooden post and beam architecture in this former Livery Stable. Your group will enjoy intimate surroundings in this space repurposed in 2014, preserving history in the brick, stone and log walls, and the echoes of the horses that lived in this space in the early days of Great Falls.

Available Room Rentals

Darkhorse Hall

The Darkhorse Hall is a private room and accommodates up to 90 for a plated meal and 120 for cocktails and appetizers.

The Wine Snug

The Wine Snug is a private room and it accommodates 24 for a plated dinner and 30 for cocktails and appetizers.  


Menus and Pre-orders

In all of our event rooms, parties of 15 and under can order off the restaurant menu. Parties over 15 people are required to order off the banquet menu which can be viewed above. Outside food and beverages are not authorized except for pre-approved desserts.

We require pre-orders and a single payment for groups of over 15 people.

Bar Service

Our event bar services offer a range of drinks from draft or bottled beer and wine to custom cocktails.

Service Charge

The service charge is based on Food and Beverage sales:

  • 25% for Buffet and self-serve

  • 35% for plated meals


Event Space Accommodations

Audio Visual

The Wine Snug has a television with standard input options. There is a bluetooth speaker available for guests to play their choice of music.

The Darkhorse Hall has a projector, TV screens, microphone, and a podium with standard input options. We have a bluetooth speaker option for guests to play their own music.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are located both downstairs near the event rooms and upstairs in the pub. ADA bathroom is upstairs. Changing tables are available in the downstairs bathrooms.

Accessability

The entire facility is ADA compliant.

Parking

No valet parking is available. Parking on the streets is metered from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM weekdays with a two-hour limit. Guests who will be attending longer weekday daytime events can park in the city lot #7 and pay by the day at the pay station..

Tables and room setup

The Wine Snug is pre-set with two large rectangular tables that seat 12 people each, it also has a picnic-style table that seats 4 and a bar with 5 stools. 

The Darkhorse Hall can be set-up in a variety of ways, i.e. Theater style, classroom style, boardroom style, banquet style, standing reception. We have round (seat up to 8), rectangular tables (seat up to 6) and standing bar height tables. We do provide white tablecloths but do not provide centerpieces.

Contract

A contract is required for private events. A specific event contract will be sent by the event coordinator for each event.

Pharmaceutical Events

Pharmaceutical events can be held in The Wine Snug (events with 20 or fewer facing AV screen) or the Darkhorse Hall (events with over 20 people facing AV screen). Both rooms are private. Special menus can be requested with two weeks advance notice. A specific event contract will be sent by the event coordinator for each event.
